How It Works
We use AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) screening standards — the globally recognised benchmark for Islamic finance. This involves two levels: (1) Business Activity Screen — the company must not derive substantial income from prohibited activities (alcohol, tobacco, conventional banking, etc.), and (2) Financial Ratio Screens — total debt, interest-bearing securities, and accounts receivable must be below 33% of total assets or market capitalisation. Our Hudood app automates this entire process.
